Junior Judoka Profiles

Every couple of months the staff at Judo Ontario randomly select a club from across the province to have their sensei select a junior judoka who consistently demonstrates sportsmanlike conduct, embodies the spirit of Judo and passion for their sport.

Why did you join Judo? I joined Judo because it was a sport in which I could work at my own pace and also I could regain strength after my Lupus (SLE) flare.

What has been the highlight of your Judo career? The highlight of my Judo career so far has been to win a Silver Medal in my first big tournament.

What is your favourite type of music? I like all kinds of music but my preference is Hard Rock, Hip Hop, Indie Punk, Metal, Country and Alternative.

Name 3 of your favourite movies Final Destination 3, Step Up 2 and What Happens in Vegas.

Have any favourite foods? My favourite food of all time is Meat Lover's Pizza with stuffed crust.

What's the most important life lesson you have learned through Judo? Never give up! No matter what happens, try again.

Are you involved with any other sports? I love sports! Here are my favourites, Judo, Snowboarding, Soccer, Volleyball, Football and Basketball.

Do you have any hobbies? Scrapbooking and drawing.

What would you like to be when you grow up? A professional Snowboarder.

Any last words? Stand up for what you believe in, even if you stand alone. Set a goal you want to achieve, and if you work really hard, you will achieve it.
